Editing the Lip Sync Exercise

In Editing our footage i tried using layered editing which i haven't done much before but something I would have to have learned if i wish to make a successful music video.
so I synced my video to the original track and after that i started to cut it so everyone in who helped make it featured and that i wasn't hogging all the screen time. I think when all of us are on the screen it works well it makes it look like we are a band then just individual people singing along.

I think my final Video is good it need more work if it will be very good but its a bit of fun at this moment and the real work is next.

Our Lip sync test

We have been given the task to make our own little music video to help us to get use to syncing up lips to the original. This also help people with performing as we have an idea with chossing performers or helping people perform for the final music video also we can make all the mistakes now so we make few mistakes in the final piece. also we can try some stuff out that we might use in the final piece as well.

We broke into groups and given a song to mime to we got I fought the Law by the Clash.

We then got a camera and filmed our performance. We performed in front of a blue screen for we had the idea later to add some moving backgrounds. we shot each other individually then in a group. It was a lot of fun and some of us felt nerves but after a while we got very into it as you will see in the final cut of this practice exercise.

Lipsync Test

In this test we were given some footage of old long roads students raw footage and we had to sync the video up with the original song.

In making this we made the sound waves become visible and put makers at the beginning of vocals and put the original track and lined them up with each other then after that we cut and edited the footage to make it look more like a music video by using different shots and changing the footage with effects etc.

We then watched the original and looked at what shots they used and which ones that they didn't that we had used.

Practice Music Video Test

We were given a few clips from this video and a group of song and our task was to edit the footage to fit with the music we decided to use.

I cut all the footage then started to put it in to a sequence to fit with the build up of the song i choose. i concentrated on the build up of the song to get the best effect i could get. it was slow paced but got quicker over time. After time was up we looked at each other and talked about which ones we liked and what could be improved across the class. I liked Hayden's one a lot because it was well edited but it was very shot as Hayden spent most of his time perfecting a small bit of the video
